See the Winner of the 2022 Birds & Blooms Photo Contest

Every year, we invite Birds & Blooms readers to send us their best bird, butterfly and bloom photos for our annual Photo Contest.

For our 2022 contest we received thousands of extraordinary entries. Our editorial team narrowed it down to 12 finalists. From there, we turned it over to you to vote for your favorites. We are happy to announce that our readers voted for Christopher Baker’s gorgeous photo of a water lily as the grand prize winner.

In his original contest submission, Christopher said, “This a is low-angle view of a water lily taken in springtime at the aquatic garden at Huntsville Botanical Gardens. I love the bright colors in the water lilies and how they appear to glow from the center. My camera is a Nikon Z6II with a 200mm f/4 macro lens. I was also patient, and I waited for some calm winds to get a clear, mirror-like reflection.”
