Colorful Stargazer Lilies
“I love the aroma from these stargazer lilies. I have several throughout my gardens, and they bring so much beauty to my yard,” says Rebecca Granger.
“I recently bought a camera and was practicing some shots with it in my yard last week. These bulbs were transplanted from my mother-in-law’s house, which is no longer in the family since she passed 22 years ago. They are in my flower bed now. Every year when they bloom, I think of her, and how much we miss her. And the Resurrection lily reminds me of where she is now. I love how the sun is lighting up that one flower!”
“These Asiatic lilies bloom right next to our old country farmhouse porch in Hastings, Minnesota every year. One day after work; I came hope and noticed how beautiful they looked. So I attached my Canon 70D with a Canon 100-400 lens to my tripod and experimented with different depths of field to create this image. I chose this image because I love these lilies and look forward to seeing them bloom,” says Alan Boucher.

A Hummingbird Favorite
“This is one of my favorite lilies. It attracts hummingbirds and bees, and it smells amazing. This variety is called Leslie Woodriff. I bought it at a lily auction my older sister and I attended many years ago. We both have MS and sometimes gardening can be difficult, but we love it!” says Wendy Trucheon.

Gorgeous Summer Flowers
“This photo was taken in late July; the plants are located at our Wisconsin residence. The spiky steel blue globe thistle, Echinops ritro, adds texture and contrast to the smooth, bright white Oriental lily Casa Blanca,” says Scott Dassow.

Pictures of Lilies After a Rainstorm
“I couldn’t resist this shot after a good rainstorm. I have several upside-down lilies in my back garden and this one just jumped out at me, so I grabbed my camera and snapped away. It is an unusual-looking flower and demanded attention, so this shot had to be taken!” says Sarah Johnson.
“The Michigan lily is a native wild lily of the Great Lakes region. I stumbled across this stunning beauty in dappled sunlight at the edge of my woods in Oakland County, Michigan. It seemed to almost glow in the sunlight,” says Jonathan Schechter.

A Mother’s Love in Lilies
“I took this photo of a lily one summer at Powell Gardens. This picture is special to me because lilies remind me of my mother, who planted lilies for me in middle school that would come back year after year, bigger, brighter and more beautiful than the year before. They remind me of a mother’s love,” says Amber Hamilton.
“This is an After Eight Oriental lily. I took the picture in my backyard in Conway, South Carolina. A showy lily, it attracts attention wherever it’s planted,” says James Gantt.
“White Casa Blanca lilies are my favorite flowers! I love the way they look and how they flow with the breeze and fill the air with a scent that I can only imagine is what heaven might smell like. This picture was taken when lilies graced all of my flower beds with their beauty. It was early morning after a storm and the air was filled with the scent of rain and lilies. I grabbed my camera because I knew the rain would be fresh on the blooms; looking like jeweled droplets. I love taking pictures of my lilies,” says Karin Mitchell.

Pictures of Lilies Worth Waiting for
“This is a Sunny Keys Oriental lily in my backyard in central Illinois. It’s sad that I have to wait one full year to set my eyes upon this prize, if only for such a short time. I purchased this plant on clearance last year, and I was so excited to see the beautiful the following summer,” says Kelly Frisina Bland.
