These are the five bird species that most birders hope to see in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.

This week I am in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas leading field trips for the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival. Even though I travel to this part of the country each year, there are many species that I enjoy seeing here each and every year.
