The Winner of the 2017 Backyard Photo Contest!

Every year, we invite Birds & Blooms readers to send us their best bird, butterfly and bloom photos for our annual Backyard Photo Contest. For our 2017 Backyard Photo Contest, we received more than 9,000 extraordinary entries and our editorial team narrowed it down to four finalists in each category. From there, we turned it over to you and you voted for your favorite in each category and then we asked you to vote for the grand-prize winner.

So, without further ado, the grand-prize winner of the 2017 Birds & Blooms Backyard Photo Contest is….

Lisa Swanson of Maricopa, Arizona for her wonderful photo of an Anna’s hummingbird splashing in water. In her original submission, Lisa said: “This photo of a little Anna’s hummingbird enjoying her bath in the fountain in my yard is so heart-warming, I want to share it with the world.” We agree!
