Good morning Charlene, Bette, and all who follow.

So far so good, but rain is effeminately in the forecast. The lawn can use some rain. Mind you, there are areas that still have snow.

Bette, I agree with you. Marigolds might not be exotic plants, but they are reliable, and boy do they look good in a bunch….especially the giant ones.

Thanks Charlene for the kind words. Knowing my son, that person who sold the dog to him will regret it.

My sister just called me from Greece for our weekly Skype chat.

I’m babysitting my DGDs as mom and dad are setting up a fund raiser for their school.

    Have a great day.

You are quite right Gayle. My son is doing just that. That person will be very surprised when my son’s lawyer will contact him. It’s not so much a money issue, although my son spend quite a bit already, but that my sweet grandson will surely be upset and sad. They were not going to get another dog after the last one, but in the end they gave in.

Thank you Donna and Molly for your kind words. You are quite right Donna. I was so angry when I heard the sad news. My oldest son was so upset as he thought he was doing the right thing by giving a dog a happy home for his son. I know that every grandma thinks their DGSs are wonderful…and they are. My grandson is such a kind good hearted boy. I did not know for whom to feel sorry more. The only good thing to come out of it is that my DS was kind to the dog and had him put to sleep and out of it’s misery at a cost of $400. for 2 vet fees because he even thought that maybe his vet was wrong so he consulted another one.

Yes Molly, this was a private sale. It was a little pug…so cute. However, my DGS told my DS that he could not have the dog die as he lost his basset hound just a couple of years ago. He went over the rainbow bridge of old age. It was devastating.

From what my DD told me, some people look on sites where they give dogs away. The people get them for free and then pass them on to others for a hefty fee, especially if they are a breed dog. There are scammers out there. How disgusting to do this to a child.

Anyways, I did manage to comfort my DS as my DGS was at school, and gave him good instructions how to deal with the situation. I told him to have my DGS pick a puppy that will be totally his, and to put on paper that he is the sole owner. Sort of give him the feeling that he will be responsible for everything…even buying the necessities. Too bad that yesterday my DIL went out and spent $200. for all kinds of goodies for this dog. Goes to show you how sometimes things go wrong.

DS said to me, and at this point I was going to cry. At least this poor dog had a wonderful 2 days of lots of love before going over the rainbow bridge.

There is no official date, but it can go to the end of May. However, it has snowed before in June…not to mention hail storms as well.

Good morning everyone! So far so good. Mind you rain is in the forecast this afternoon or late evening.

My best friend and I have plans to go to the flea market this afternoon. They have an indoor facility so no problem if it rains.

This morning I finished some minor chores, and I decided to knit for an hour. I decided to stop knitting every hour to do other things around the house so as not to just sit knitting, and sit in front of the computer. My computer time is getting shorter and shorter. It’s enough of this stagnant life. When it the weather gets warmer I will be exercising by going out into areas to photograph birds. That should keep me in shape.

Not sure if my friend’s/neighbour’s puppy was born. The breeder did tell us that she will call to let my friend know. If she does not have a female black Labrador in the birth group this time, it will be the following female dog who is scheduled to give birth on the 26th of May. Looks like my friend will have to wait…unless the first birth is delayed.

    Have a nice day.

Good evening! Wow, you are in good spirits Charlie. Guess the weather has improved in your area. Just goes to show you how bad weather gets you down, and beautiful weather is a pick-er-upper.

Hi Marilyn! I really appreciate you taking the time to return comments which shows you are truly interested.

It was a good day. I kept to my to do list for today, and I’m not too bad. I finally finished a hat for my sister….big joke of the year with regards to the wool she sent me. I keep telling her all that is missing is the sheep. Mind you, according to the salesperson at the yarn shop, she said it’s probably cashmere. Sure feels like it. I’ve never seen such wool. It’s a simple hat, but it will keep my sister warm during the winter months in Greece….lol, lol, lol. It never really gets that cold. Then again, when they drive to their rustic cottage high in the mountains, it is quite chilly there. I’ll be posting it some time next week.

I never got to the replanting though. Maybe tomorrow. I think rain is in the forecast so it will be a good day to do more indoors.

    Have a nice evening..!

Good morning everyone! It sure is a beautiful morning here. The sun is out in full force. The temperature is rising which is helping to melt the snow. I’m lucky this year, mine melted already. Some neighbours still have mounds of it on their lots. I guess it’s because of their snow removal companies. I had asked mine to just distribute it along the grass area.

I do have to do some transplanting. There are those tall zinnias that were very nice last year. All the marigolds are now almost 3” tall. Looks like that is going to be a big job….they all germinated. I guess I did not learn my lesson from last year. Mind you, they sure did brighten up when I planted them around the house. I also have some mystery plants that have survived…not many, but a few. Hope they keep doing well.

Of course I will be knitting a bit this morning…not too much, but if I keep to a routine, I might get to the pullover I want to make for myself…this I have got to see….lol.

In the meantime, some photography moments will have to be taken into consideration. I’m hoping to make an album that helps keep track of when there are new birds arriving in our area.

    Have a good day!

Those are great shots Kelly. Around my house there aren’t all that many striking birds of colour, but there are plenty of cardinals….love them.

Marilyn, it’s my neighbour who also is my friend that put a down payment on a labrador puppy. She wants a black female labrador.

Julie, it is not I who is getting a puppy, but my friend/neighbour. I don’t think I can handle more than my Zorro who has been real bad these last few days. It must be spring fever or just plain gluttony….grrrr. He’s not in my good books right now.

Yes Alecia, I see them every year only not as many as this year. They are such friendly birds….quite brave I might add. Guess it’s safety in numbers.
This one I took outside. I can see the difference from the pictures I took through the patio door window.
