I’m back.  Not many posts after mine on yesterday’s thread.

Marge – nice surprise to get those gifts in the mail.  Not to worry – wedding is very local.  It’s just that Sarah is going to her new in-law’s to be in GA for Christmas tomorrow and returning on the 26th.  Puts a squeeze on what she has yet to do.  Including getting her gown today at 5 o’clock/

Dan got the ceremony bulletins copied by Staples yesterday which turned out nicely.

Mary – you have had a time of it with that bout of illness.  Hope it was a nice day out.

Hello to the rest of you who didn’t get on here yesterday.  Hope all is well.

    That’s it from me.

    Good morning all.

Safe travels, Stewart.  And welcome home Wendy.

I’m up early.  Couldn’t get back to sleep after 5 so got up.  Cleaned some toilets, worked on the newsletter, read some blogs and now I’m here.

Today is moving day at Sarah’s apartment to the new one that William is now occupying.  I helped here pack yesterday but there was more to do and I hope she and William could get to it last night.  First trip with the rental U-Haul will be to take a sofa, table, 2 chairs and coffee table to Goodwill.  Then what Sarah is taking will be packed.  I imagine I’ll have clean up duty in the apartment.

Hmm.  FOrgot to read what others posted yesterday so let me do that and return here in a bit.

Returning the favor and wishing you happy birthday – another December baby.  Huh?  I imagine you’re used to the question: do you want it for your birthday or Christmas?  I got that this year and opted for my birthday so now have a ninja system.

    Good morning.  Overcast here.  35.

Waiting on Sarah to be ready to go to her old apartment to pack it up.

Welcome home Fred.  Sorry about the toe.  Doesn’t sounds so good with all the antibiotics you’re on.  take care of it.  Good that it happened at the end of the trip and not the beginning.

Kathy – you okay?  Heading back to bed because?  Sick?  Exhausted? Blue?  take care, friend.

Stewart – yes its a crazy world we live in.  I think lots of this has been going on since man first walked the earth.  It’s now with our connectedness with everything we are aware of it.  There will always be crazies in the world.

Sherry – did friends wedding just get planned with the opening up of Cuba?  How marvelous for her.

Dan is home today – first day of his vacation.  He will take on the copying duties for the ceremony program.  I am grateful for that.  We still have an open calendar the 21-25th.  Yeah!

That’s all from here.  Let me read the rest of the news.  Take care.

Marge – home from having the needle stick in my heel.  Will help it feel better so I won’t be hobbling around on the wedding.  You’re right about the hubbub of the wedding and Christmas but we do have an event free 5 days starting on Sunday and lasting through Christmas.  Both DDs are going to GA (Rome & Augusta) and won’t arrive here until the 26th.  We’ve shared gifts with both of them already so there’s only a little of that to happen on the 27th.  Most of the wedding details are in place so I’m looking forward to the 5 day respite.

Kathy – Sarah seems to be taking it all in stride.  No tears yesterday and the women doing the alterations have probably seen worse changes.  They said they’d have it done on Saturday and they will.

    Off to take a nap.

Just saw this!  Thank you Marge.  And yes it was a nice birthday.  I had lunch at Silver Diner with Sarah (DD getting married on the 29th) and dinner at a Japanese steak house with Dan.  He didn’t make it home so early after all.  Traffic was a bear.  15 mile trip took an hour.

Stella – wow what a cake.  I actually had my cake on the 8th.  Dan ordered a carrot cake  for me and we served it as the dessert for his staff party here.  There’s more in the freezer that I’ll have at another time.

And yes my name is Marcia but I answer to Steep as well.

I appreciate all the greetings even from folks I hardly know.

    Thank you!

Good morning.  Bright sun here today.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes.  Dinner was fun and good.  It was one of those Japanese steak houses with the hibachi cook with all the fancy knife work.  I had steak and scallops.  Got a free mini slice of cheese cake as it was y birthday.

Brenda – I won;t be bringing home the gown now.  She’ll have to do it since I can’t go to next appointment and it must be the last one!

Have had three people drop off reception count.  I give the absolute final number to the caterer on Friday.  Had to make hotel reservations for the violinist whose playing.  Too bad he waited so long to ask if we would cover it because it was passed the discounted date.  Oh well.  Learned I have another pick up at the airport on Sunday.  That will be 5 plus me and all the luggage.  I’m doing the run since Dan needs to be at rehearsal on time.  If flights are at all delayed this crew and me will be late.  Involves 2 of the bridesmaids and 2 college friends of Sarah one of whom will be the person to send people down the aisles.  Busy busy!

Heel hurting again so off to podiatrist this afternoon for another cortisone shot.  Also getting haircut this morning.

Enough about me.  Take care of yourselves.

Back without the gown.  More alterations needed and they will have it for her on Saturday.  It was the right length but too loose in the top.

Had a wonderful roasted veggie salad with rocket lettuce.  Hadn’t seen that lettuce since we were in England.  I couldn’t finish it all but did eat all the brussel sprouts.

Dan is taking me out to one of those Japanese steak houses, I think.  We were going to one close to his office but that meant me driving sown there.  Then he called to say he was done by 3:30 today and could we make it earlier.  So now he’s coming home and we’ll go out.

Good morning.  Blue sky day for a change after some pouring rain yesterday afternoon and then again last night.

Thank you all for my birthday greetings.  Thank you Wendy for remembering.  December birthdays are often forgotten in the rush before Christmas.  We’ll see how many of my siblings remember me today.

Just had FaceTime with Emily & Annabelle to wish me a happy birthday.  They will start their holiday sojourns on Friday, rising at 3 am to head south to a stop over at Dan’s mom’s in Woodstock VA then on to Rome GA on Saturday.

Today I meet Sarah to pick up her gown.  Hope it fits because there’s no time left for further alterations that I know of.  Sarah will take me out to lunch.

Must clean out the car if the bridal gown is coming home with me.

Stewart – you have got your energy back I see and accomplished much on your list.  Wendy will enjoy her stay there with you for the holidays.

Dave – was your granddaughter in the Christmas program?

Sherry – all the exterior alterations done on the house now?

Tigsy – you’ve got your hands full with work.

Kathy – never have had peanut butter fudge.

Mary – have you stopped coughing now?

Marge – ready for the celebrations?  Do you have family near by?

Maxine – do you have to decide on the contractor to do the work?

Brenda – did you see the link I posted under “A friend is..”?  Amazing footage of a tortoise helping out another one on its back.

Snow – I hope things can slow down for you.

When does Fred return?  Anyone know?

I invariably forget someone when I try to address all.  If I have I’m sorry.

Enjoy this day.  I know I will.

    Good morning.  Gray again.

Sarah and I got lots done yesterday.  My to do list is considerably shorter these days.

Must run an errand this morning, get tape for mailing gifts, have lunch with a friend, then to the post office to mail packages.  Enough to do in one day.  In between times must deal with newsletter.

Tomorrow I’ll meet Sarah for lunch (her treat on my BD) and then we pick up her gown.  I’ll be bringing it home.

I invited her new in laws to supper the evening after the wedding.  No time to meet and talk with them beforehand since they arrive in town on Saturday night before the wedding and Sunday is full.

Kathy – good to hear you’re on the mend.  Prayers for BiL’s treatment.

Brenda – how old is Madonna?  I guess you’ll be doing Christmas in February when Jason gets there.

Snow – what a cleaning effort.  Sorry to hear your DS is ailing.

Okay must head to shower and get this day on a roll.  Greetings to all the rest of you that I didn’t name.  Hope you are well and good to meet this day.

Good morning all!  Some blue sky trying to break through the gray clouds.

Dan looked at the 2 week forecast and it looks like there will be good weather two weeks from today when the wedding happens.  Fingers crossed.  We were at the reception venue yesterday afternoon.  Well outside.  Sarah and William are having a modified scavenger hunt and I took photos of them at different locations.  Game participants will have to find the spots and answer the questions.  I  got some really cute photos of them.

My to do list has gotten longer!  Today I’ll head back to the church to confirm some details.  The bulletin is almost readying for copying.  They meet with their pastor for the last time on Thursday and will run it by him for a last look.

Enough on that.  I guess what’s best is for me to go start tackling what has to be done today.

I’ll catch up on your doings from Sunday later.

Marge – I had that IRS call go to my voice mail.  It’s amazing how realistic it sounds but the IRS doesn’t operate that way and why would it be my final notice when I never received a notice?  I can see how someone not so with it would be sucked into it.

Sorry I was so abrupt earlier.  As I was typing Emily called to see if we wanted to FaceTime with Annabelle.  Of course.  She is so cute!  Learning something new every day and understanding so much language. Emily asked her after nap time where her pacifier was and Annabelle made the sign for it and pointed out of her crib to where it was !

Brenda – too bad about Katie’s sister.  She’d be so much more comfortable with hospice than chemo therapy.  Wish more people realized that and doctors could talk more openly about it.  A poll of doctors showed that’s what they would choose if they received the diagnosis of a fatal disease.

Have half a chicken pot pie in the oven for dinner.  Quiet evening at home.

    Checking back here.

Sorry to hear Kathy, that you got the flu.  Sounds like Mary has it too.

Brenda I got the flu jab in the fall.  Had a call from Rite Aid where I got it two years running and they wondered if I had gotten it.  Said yep!  Hope to stay healthy at least through the wedding.  Can get sick after if I have to.

Dan wrote his family that we couldn’t manage a traditional get together.

    Must go.  Time to Facetime

Good morning.  Ice on the pond.  Frost on the roof.  Winter!

Quiet day here.  Expect Sarah tonight and Sunday too.  Much to talk over with her.

    That’s it for now.
