The second picture with your hand has some seeds and yes you wait till they turn brown which variety is it some come true and some don’t.  It can take up to three years for them to germinate and a combination of coldwarm temp.  6 weeks warm then 12 weeks cold then   6 weeks of warm  during the day and cold at night  and then if they don’t germ them anothere 12 weEks cold and then back to a combo of two days warm  and overnight cold for three weeks and then. 3 weeks warm and then the 12 weeks cold if they don’t germ.  Long process if they don’t germ after the first year.

Charlene. What kindif bulbs did you dig today?

I have to dig my cannas after they freeze ans store them in the basement till the following year and then replant them in the spring. Can’t leave them in the ground for they would freeze and not come back

Good morning all have Togo back later and read from the last day or so don’t remember when I posted last.  It feels like spring right now so busy at work sowing seed and transplanting and the last couple ofdays when outside I have about 7 robins in my backyard singing drinking out of the pond and having a goodtime and even though we have had  two  heavy frost my backyard that is protectedby the trees and shrub my annuals are still blooming like crazy and look good.  I even have some inpatients under my hollyhockdistill going strong next to the house so it is real hard to clean up the back area yet. Today should get the garden done and finish the front flower beds that are out in the open.  Can’t complain on the temps either they have been in the high 60′s or low 70′s  and will be for the next week the weather watchers say.  So hard to believe that winter is knocking on the door.  The leaves on the trees are just beautiful this year, the only complaint I have is not enough time to enjoy the fall for it gets to dark early at night and is dark in the mornings.  Well I have to water this weekend so no time to enjoy again:(  I hope you are all taking advantage of the beautiful fall ifyour having one .

Kathy I hope you are still mending and feeling good.  How did the dinner go?  Hope your cold is all gone.

Brenda hope those ribs are healing well and don’t do something to reinjure them again.   How are the chicks doing?  Hopefully you didn’t get anywether anther from the last storms

Sherry I hope the move went good for you with your mom.

    Robbe have fun camping

    Mary what’s on for today?

Steep good news on your dr reports

Tigsy what style of quilts are you making what is the pattern?

Marge  hope you get a lot of things planted this nice fall.

Fred I have on er loom iris that has been blooming all fall and is still sending up bloom stalks very interesting.

    Dave hi

Well off to work everyone I missed I hope you have had a great week and have a great weekend.

May God Bless you All and Prayers to those that need them

Gary it is called a spur and it is part of the flower.  You can take cutting of your plant though but you have to have the stem with the green leaves on them put in rooti g hormone then in moist soil and they will root to hold some of the humidity tent with a plastic bag.

You need to soak the pods and let them ferment or let the fruit turn mushy and ugly then after a few days when they are really smelly and ugly put them in a strainer and then rinse them and seeds should stay in the strainer dry them  between two paper towels and store the seeds in the fridge till your ready to seed them.  So you like this thorny plant it is unique for sure the fruit  should of been ripe but I understand your short growing season so you couldn’t wait .   Good luck with them.     Also the seeds of wildflowers  i am sending you will arrive the first of November for then you will put them in  moist soilless soil in baggies and put them in the back of the fridge for  2-3 months and then bring them out to germ.
