Interesting and good info, Giddeyup….sounds like it grows in many zones…..something we all have in common.  I never knew they were edible.  I doubt that I will be eating them, however.  They are one plant that the earwigs aren’t devouring.  Charlene

Gary….I recall my MIL making pickled zucchini.  I imagine it was a recipe similar to this.  She also pickled green beans the same way….I really liked them.  Charlene

What lovely gardens and flowers this morning!  Stella…you have been sharing so many pretty pics lately….your gardens must be a sight to behold.

Steve….I told you that I often photograph a flower several times….here is living proof.  I share a picture of this Mandevilla last week….well, yesterday it was even prettier than it was then.  I don’t have ESP but, by all the buds on it right now I foresee that you may all see another picture of it in the near future.  LOL

Molly….I do love the color and I recall someone on this board posting pics of one that color.  Last night during my sleepless hours, I remember that it was Sue (Anky) that posted a BB that color.  Charlene

Good morning everyone.  It is 64º and acts like it wants to rain, but doesn’t remember how to….lol.  I sure hope we get something this morning.  After that there isn’t another chance until toward the end of the week.

Today I am going to get my BFF out of the house and take her with me to Rochester to get a few things.  She is doing quite well with the pain med addiction. I am now in charge of the pills and they are at my house….and only I can pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy for her. Wed she will be starting chemo again and she is worried about that.  Her parents have gone back home, so I don’t want her sitting home alone and worrying nonstop.

Sounds like everyone has plans for their Sunday.  Stella, I hope you can soon get some sleep….that is so frustrating.

Have a great day everyone…..take time to smell the flowers and don’t forget to have some fun!  Charlene

Steve…..I grew up in SE Minnesota….the” land of sink holes.”  If we ever saw a hole like that….and it was getting bigger day by day…we RAN.  By morning it may be the size of the Grand Canyon.  LOL  Charlene

Rugmaker….good to see you posting, but sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same heat and drought that I am here.  Watering is keeping some of my plants going, but nothing is really flourishing this year.  I guess I have just developed the attitude that there is always next year….Charlene

Gayle….lol….they are all the same plant that Molly listed….just different companies.  I doubt there will ever be one with my name, but many of my friends call their flowers by name because i shared with them and they can’t remember the real name.

Molly….are you planning on purchasing one of those?  Proven winners has great plants!  Charlene
Hi Charlene!  That is actually grass clippings that are covering the garden.
Hi Rob….guess you missed the post when I shared with all that I am now blind….lol.  Now looking back at your pic I can see that.  I just am so use to looking at our lawn which looks exactly like your dead grass clippings.  Don’t give up on the lisianthus seeds just yet….there is always next year.

Hazlnutz….welcome to the board.  Many of us here start lisianthus from seed because they are difficult to find in any nurseries or greenhouuses.  They are slow growers, but well worth the wait.  Charlene

I do the same as Molly….add new dirt ontop of the old.  It is too expensive to just toss….that’s for sure!  Charlene
