    Very lovely photos this morning.

Steve….love those nasturtiums, as you already know.

Kathy…..I have also seen that BF here, but no luck with a good photo….but I will keep trying.

Mmarnee….what beautiful dahlias.  It sounds like the dahlia festival was a good time for you!

Del….same way with me and the hummers!

Yesterday I had camera in hand at my BF bush because I saw so many different varieties of butterflies on it.  I looked at the neighboring flower bed and noticed a hummer enjoying a Red Zinnia…..it was a long way, but I zoomed in and managed to get a quick shot before he flew off into the wild blue yonder….lol

Good morning Molly & Del and all to follow.  It is 60º this morning, but they are forecasting 90s for highs for the entire week…..weekend is a bit cooler (mid 80s)  No rain clouds showing on any of those days, so I am sure I will be doing lots of watering again….ugghh

We had a great time yesterday.  I didn’t get any pics inside the cave, but got a pic of all the kids and GKs outside afterward.  I will share that once I get it on my camera.  After we got home, I managed to get another pickup load of weeds, dead flower heads, brush, etc. (I also filled it up on Saturday)  My gardens look a little better, but still more work to do……maybe next weekend.

Have a great Monday everyone….just another day in my shop for me.  Charlene

Sounds like you got alot done, but I guess I agree with Del…especially about the castor beams, KMOTGG, and other annuals.  If you let frost take them, they are easier to cut off and at least you could have enjoyed them until then…..that is more than likely a month to 6 weeks away.  Charlene

Leroy….never heard it called Lablab vine.  I also have the white Hyacinth bean….do you want some seed?

Leslie…..both geraniums and Plectranthus are hardy plants, but they may do better if you put them somewhere to dry out good.  They both flourish better with drought rather than wet conditions…..they need to dry out between waterings.  Charlene

My understanding is that it will look no different than any other full moon…..just called that because there are 2 full moons in the same month…..am I right on that?  Charlene

Del….that is such a pretty plant.  I recall having that as a SOD a couple of years ago when I was showcasing different vines.  I may have even tried seeds….not sure….if I did they never grew!  Charlene

Del, I am so happy for you.  I know how good that makes a person feel.  You put so much work into your yard, it is rewarding when others appreciate it!  I hope to see your backyard in person someday!

We have had many people stop by….just to ask questions….take pics….or whatever.  I always offer them a tour.

I used to apologize that some plants weren’t blooming and that there were weeds and unwanted trees in my beds…..but then I realized that many of them do not know the difference…..so I just keep my mouth shut now….lol.  Charlene

Mine is also blooming now, Kathy, but I haven’t gotten any pics yet……looks just like yours!  LOL  Thanks for the seeds, Jan.

Wanda, I’m guessing that I will have some seed of these to share with you.  Charlene

I have also noticed that she hasn’t been posting lately….and Donna hasn’t either.  I guess i am like wanda though…..I am not on here as much as winter months, so they could be posting and I’ve missed it.  Charlene

Good morning everyone…..Rob, nice to see that you are still alive and well.  We have already had to wear jackets a few morning when the temps dropped into the 40s and lower 50s.

It is foggy here, but once that burns off it is supposed to be a beautiful day.  DH and I are taking the kids and grandkids to Niagra Cave at Harmony, Minnesota today.  I’ve lived so close to it all these years and have never visited, while people travel from all over the US to see it.  Infact, I drove right by it for 2 yrs on my way to work in Harmony in the mid 70s.  I hope to get some pics to share.  I guess there is a huge waterfall inside the cave.

Wendy, so glad the weather is cooperating for your outdoor service today.  I bet this week will be sad for you.  Will some of your co-workers be leaving?

Have a great day everyone.  Charlene

I have 2 beautiful Gazannias that I got from Kathy.  By time she shared them with me, I was out of room in full sun, so I planted them on the East side of my house where they only get mornig sun and heat.  That has been beneficial this year.  I will try to remember to take pics.  In the meantime….Thank you, Kathy!  Charlene

We often buy the 10# rolls of burger when on sale.  I just divide and place into 1 1/2 pound ziplock bags, freeze,  and deal with them for when I am hungry!  I also make several burgers and freeze them on a cookie sheet and then put them in ziplocks til we are ready to use them.  Charlene

I really enjoyed the beautiful monarch on your Butterfly Bush….but I also had no audio.  that is probably no problem of yours…..I may need to update my audio, but I enjoyed it anyway.

If any of you watched the Youtube video of my DGD singing….that was just my antique Kodak Easy Share Camera….lol.

Wendy….I think you’ve got a good thing going here!  Charlene
