I just finished my 2 desserts for tomorrow…..Fench Eclair Dessert and Snowball Cake.  They are 2 of our family favorites.

Kathy….I wanted to say “Woohoo” about you getting a treadmill for Christmas.  I know you said that you’ve been wanting one….did you drop a hint?  I know many people don’t like them because they take up alot of room.  You could set yours up in your living room since you seldom use it for entertaining nor for even just sitting.  Most of them now fold up to slide under a bed or couch anyway.

Not sure what my plans are for the rest of the evening…..time will tell.  Charlene

Gayle….interesting story, but you still didn’t tell us how you ended up here?

Alma…..I have an addition to your story….Alma is actually a Master Gardener.  I’ve thought about taking the course, but the local Master Gardeners here are not my kind of people.

I hope that more of your share how you learned to love gardening and how you ended up here in the garden.  Charlene

Yes they would, Bette!  Some recipes call for graham crackers rather than saltines, but I prefer the saltines.  Some recipes also call for a can of tomato soup in the sauce.  Charlene

I am also enjoying the stories here….a good way to get to know one another even better.Lair….where is YOUR story?  Even though we had the same Mom, doesn’t mean we have the same story!  Charlene

Good morning Molly and all who visit later today.  We are at 19º this morning plus a windchill…..I am not looking forward to going outside.  We have been having such exceptional warm weather, so this will be a slap in the face.

Molly….no shopping for me today, infact I am working.

I also love the leftovers from Thanksgiving, but I may share some of them with DS and DB#3.  We are going through this all over again on Sunday.  That day we will be eating meatballs and hamballs rather than the traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Have a great day everyone, whatever your plans are.  Charlene

Oh my…..Christmas is just around the corner, isn’t it?

Steve….it does look like your neighbor goes all out….pretty trees for you to enjoy.

Mmarnee….very nice trees.  I enjoy seeing all the different ways of decorating.

    Naturelover…..your mantle looks great.

I guess the only pic I have on this topic is the tree in our living room….this is from Christmas 2010….taken before we put the topper on….that is always an argument here…..angel or star?

MD….that was a lovely Christmas memory story.  I love hand made Christmas decorations…..if I had more time, I’d make all of mine, but for now the ones I have will have to suffice.  Charlene

Great pictures, Bette.  I can’t believe how much the baby has grown into a toddler.  Charlene

Bette….you guessed it….Thanksgiving leftovers.  What we don’t eat tonight will be shared with others or frozen because I need to clean out the fridge to start getting ready for Sunday’s feast.  This is when my winter weight starts packing on.  Charlene

Welcome back, Nan….so glad to see you here again.  I am sorry about your ailments and I hope they get better soon.  I’m sure both problems make gardening impossible and life miserable.  We have had a few conversations wondering where you were and when you’d be getting your puter back.  Check in when you can, and happy Thanksgiving to you as well.  Charlene

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my family here.  Having 2 families is something to be thankful for, isn’t it?  I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend.  Charlene

Lair does have a beautiful house and yard.  I have been fortunate to see in person all of the before and after projects he has done to transform his place into what it is today….an “extreme” makeover for sure.  The small town he lives in appreciates the fact that he saved this old home and has made it into the lovely place it is today.  Charlene

Good morning, and Happy thsnkgiving to all.  I can’t believe that I am the warmest temp this morning.  We are starting the day at 47º and it is supposed to be 60º by noon….and 30º by 7pm….yup, a cold front is moving in this afternoon and will be staying for a few days at least.

Like Del, I have the oven preheating and will get the show on the road as soon as I am finished visiting with my garden friends.

Del….I hope you and Steve have a wonderful feast today!  I’m sure you will, and you will probably have leftovers for a week.  Leftovers are my favorite part of Thanksgiving meal.

Molly….waking up is certainly something to be thankful for…..wishing you a great day with family.

Wendy….how nice that you get to be together with all of your family.  I know you are thankful for that…hope you have a great day.  I also saw a segment about the Sandy victims this morning.  We all have to be thankful that we have a roof over our heads, don’t we?  Too many things are taken for granted.

Bette….Enjoy your day with family and your time with those little ones.  You are making memories for them all of the time by doing all that you do with them.

Sandy….sounds like you are cooking….will you have a houseful, or just you and the girls?

Leslie….I am sure you will have a good day with family.  I do not have to be concerned about my friend today.  She is doing somewhat better since her 80 yr old Dad is here staying with her.  Today they will go to the community Thanksgiving dinner that a family here hosts every year.

Have a great day everyone and I will probably check back later.  Charlene

Hello there, Wanda, and happy Thanksgiving to you.  We’ve missed you on the board.  I figured that Bob would be called the the eastern disaster, but didn’t know you’d be helping him.  It must be a sad sight to behold, isn’t it?  Enjoy your dinner at Golden Corral….I think all of them in our area have closed.  Check in when you can.  Charlene

How about some double petunias in a container with Lime Green Nicotiana and Bells of Ireland?
