Right handed so I use right hand.  Doubt I could control it with left.  It would just feel weird.

Charlie, I think if you go to all about seeds there is a whole thread there on starting seeds.

Here ya go.  Charlene posted this & we all do it pretty much the same way.  Everybody has their own favorite way but this is the basics.

Since it’s been cloudy & damp all day & snow supposed to show up later I figured it was a good night for home made Chili.

Good evening everybody.  Still waiting on the snow here or rain or something.  So far, nothing.   It’s been cloudy & a damp breeze all day but nothing falling from the sky.

I went & got a few groceries this morning & gas @$2.o8 gal.   We haven’t gotten below the $2.00 mark yet.

Paid a couple of bills & like  Stella, started cleaning out old bills, receipts, etc; for the new year.

Then I worked on my quilt for a little while.

My Geranium seeds arrived but I didn’t get them started yet.

Update:  It’s raining (6:30).  We’ll see what comes next.

Scorpion tonight I guess (haven’t checked the schedule yet) & whatever else I find.  I think Major Crimes is on tonight or is it Oak Island?  Kathy?

Charlie. what I think you are seeing is Aero Gardens & they are not good for starting seeds.  I think Wilderness does use them but not for seeds.  You buy pods for them & it only holds a few, depending on size.    I think most people use them for growing herbs.

Parks sells kits called Bio Domes that are for seed starting but you don’t really need to spend money on them.  A black plastic tray with a clear top works just fine.  Or cover with plastic wrap like Bette said or I even put some in large freezer bags or those bags that spreads & sheets come in.

I use a “pinch” but like Bette only when planting in flats & I agree it is easier to thin them out from flats than individual cells.

Well, my entire post has disappeared.  I’ll try again.  I don’t understand how this happens?  Oh well.

I was saying (last night) I didn’t get to finish post on the weekend June thread so these were new plants in my yard last year.

    Echium Blue Bedder

    Midnight Duchess Lace Cap Hydrangea

    Wild Petunia

Good afternoon everybody.  45º at 10:15 & cloudy.  Rain supposed to move in this afternoon & then change to snow after midnight & back to rain sometime tomorrow.  They downgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Weather Advisory.   Just the usual BS.

I’ve been to get some groceries & gas  It has gotten to feeling damp & cloudier.   I saw fog in the fields on the way home.   BTW the groceries had nothing to do with the S word.  LOL  Fur babies have to eat, snow or no snow..

Chelsea needs a bath but I keep putting it off.  Maybe I’ll get to it today.   Or the quilt, or the photo albums, or none of those.  Who knows?

My Geranium seeds arrived in the mail today , so might get those started.  Then that will be it till mid Feb.

Karen the talking heads is the reason I referred to BS (especially here) in the first paragraph.  They go on & on like the world is ending.  Remember the days when the weathermen used to say, snow tomorrow, & we said OK & just went on about our business?  I know the upper NE is supposed to get really hammered but they always do & are somewhat used to it & prepared for it.  If it snowed 2-3′  here, everything would come to a complete standstill.

Melissa, I don’t know how you keep up with all the dropping off & picking up stuff.  My DS only has 2 kids & he’s forever taking them here or picking them up from somewhere.

Leslie, a funny story about gunshots.  Our 1st night in the TN house I heard shots in the middle of the night. Shots in the middle of the night was not a good thing where we moved from (bedroom community of DC).  I woke DH up & of course he told me I was imaging things.  To which I replied I am not & I know what gunshots sound like.  It sounded like a rifle.

So, I hear these again the next morning  WTH?  Some investigating found the source of the gunshots.  It was the Ice Maker dropping ice into the bin.   LOL  I had never had an Ice Maker before so didn’t have any idea what one sounded like.  25 yr later & it still sounds like gunshots to me.  But I have to be in the kitchen to actually hear it these days.  Oh, & I never did tell him what I found out about those “shots”.

Speaking of groceries, Janet, I am going to try the recipe for the Pineapple Cobbler you had on FB yesterday.  All I need to get was some pineapple.

Steve, I’m sorry to hear you’re not liking your job anymore.  Makes it hard to get motivated about going to work.   Are you looking for something different?
