I buy most of them & they come with a tag attached to the roots.  I leave that tag there & also put a plant marker.  Over time the plant marker wears off or gets lost but the root tags usually last quite a while.  Eventually that works its way down into the ground & unless I happen to remember the name of that specific plant (that’s a joke) then it becomes nameless.

If you look at the 1st one, you can see the root tag still attached.

Good morning everybody.  72º at 10 this morning sun comes & goes but it is humid.  Or at least I think it is.

I’ve been out deadheading (every day is deadhead day here, Bette) , picking off JBs (they’re not too bad yet but something is eating the heck out of my KO rose) filling birdfeeders & just generally checking things out.  Then I cut the front yard so now all the grass is cut for a while. We had some rain early this morning & when I got up the power had blinked again.  Third time since last Thur.  Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s everybody, not just me.

Think I’ll go move some baby coneflowers to another bed in a little while & do some yard work out front.   The front won’t take me long.  Not sure what will be next  Maybe nothing.  Might go to the library & take a ride around the community to see if I can spot my lighthouse anywhere.  It has to be somewhere.

Molly, I think the idea of you trying to cut the grass wile the mower guy is there is a good idea.  That way he can see exactly what’s going on.

Beautiful pictures.  I love those Leggo sculptures.  And I’ve seen those Coneflowers in catalogs ( the ones with what look like just a few petals that hang down from the center).  Now that I’ve seen an actual picture of them, I might get some.  They are kind of neat.

Donna, those seeds  more than likely came from you.  I had them in the frig with no name on them to tell where they came from.

Marilyn, I live in the sticks on a street that doesn’t get much traffic but not many close neighbors either.  I suspect somebody drive up one day (or evening) while I was gone & nobody was home next door (only neighbor I have)  & just helped themselves.  I think they would’ve been more likely to be noticed at night than during the day.

I’ve never grown that; looks almost like Snapdragons.

I posted enough lilies earlier today.  Lets see what else is here.

    Foxglove from last month

You have to go through a 3rd party to post a picture like PhotoBucket, Tiny Pic, etc; or you can C&P from FB

akh, sorry I don’t know what the white flower is.  To start a new thread/question.  Open the  Forum (in this case  Garden Q & A), scroll all the way to the bottom of the page & you will see a blank box & a blank Title area.  That is where you start a new thread.

If you don’t get an answwer here try asking on Garden Chat.  More people over there

Good evening all.  Not a bad day; the sun finally came out.  Warm, but not too much.

I took Chelsea for a walk this morning & tied up my big Hydrangea as best I could.  The rain had really  knocked it down.

I spent the afternoon finishing up my d’way bed (finally).  Now I need to get some mulch in it before the weeds start growing again.

Sue, sorry to hear about your Dad.  Hope he does better soon.  And keep your hands away from that BACK button.

Wendy, having meals for a month in the freezer is a great idea.  I freeze leftovers & usually have 2-3 meals in there but not a month’s worth.

I was weeding all afternoon also.  It’s such a sense of accomplishment when you get done.  Even though you have to do it again in 2 wks.  LOL  And I have tons of portulaca volunteers too.

I sit on a rolling cart to do mine.

Looks nice Karen.  Quite a difference from the 1st photo.
