Somebody is spamming/trolling, according to Jill.

There was a whole reply in French on a Midwest report Friday that was tacked onto a 2014 thread.  It’s been reported, removed  & the person banned.   You can see what I’m talking about on Community Help if you want.  (Check Out This Post; started by Jan)

I only went to the 45th.  Mainly because I lived too far away for the rest & DH wasn’t interested in going & I didn’t want to go by myself.

When #45 rolled around, I was a fairly new widow & living in the area so I went with another girl that had become a widow not too long ago.  I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.   We had a nice dinner cruise & stayed overnight in a motel about 75 miles from here.   One of the classmates who is into videotaping & photography made a video/slide show from our school pictures & all the previous reunions.  They showed it in a meeting room at the motel before we went to dinner & there was a copy for everybody.

So #50 was last year & I was looking forward to it.  In previous yrs, my class had some really great reunions.  They even went on a cruise to the Bahamas one yr.  So I was expecting something really nice for this “special” one.

I was shocked & a little disappointed when they decided to just  have dinner at a nearby seafood restaurant & not even that nice of a one.    I’m not a big fan of seafood (although I probably could have found something else to eat)  but I don’t like the restaurant they picked.  I couldn’t see putting out money for something I didn’t really want to do, so I didn’t go.   If it had been a nicer restaurant I might have gone.

Good evening.  Sunny & mild today.

I didn’t do much.  I saw a primrose popping up in the d’way so dug it up & put where it belonged (on the slope) .  The only reason I noticed it was that it was blooming.  LOL

Took Chelsea for a walk & spent most of the afternoon  relaxing in the screen room but I did paint a couple of yard ornaments while I was out there.

That was pretty much it.  A nice relaxing Sunday for a change.

Did the ML come from Charlene?  Mine’s not blooming yet.

    Pretty rose, Steve

My first David Austin rose for 2015

    And another one blooming today

     photo 100_4603_zpsdaytu9eq.jpg

And this picture is an experiment.  When I open the curtains on my sun porch every morning, the outside,  bottom half of this window  is filled with KO rose blooms .  It is such an beautiful thing to see first thing in the morning and somebody said if you put your camera right up against the screen, you can take a picture.  So here it is.  Much prettier in person though.

There is a post on BYC titled Bah Humbug.  It is from 2 yr ago with no recent replies.  If you scroll down to the bottom where it says tags, there is our “French Friend” again.

I didn’t report it as abuse since they didn’t actually reply to anything & nothing wrong with the the thread itself.  But how did they manage to put something in the tag section of somebody else’s reply?

I get most of my stuff these days from local nurseries and garden centers.  Fortunately, what I can’t find at one, I can usually find at another.

Even the WM is better then it used to be, provided you get there when the plants do.  LOL

And the Home Depot is great.  I make  couple of trips there during the summer just to look (yeah, right) .

And there is a huge nursery close to my son’s house.  Almost always manage to squeeze a trip in to there when I go to his house.  However, they are a little pricey, so don’t always buy a lot.

I understand, I feel the same way but everybody else raved about how good it looked.  I figured Gary would appreciate it.,  Probably more of a guy thing.  LOL

BTW, I didn’t take the picture.  One of the residents posted it on FB & I copied it.

Good Morning everybody.  Rob, nice to hear from you.  We don’t see enough of you here.  A sunny day & still fairly cool.  It was 62º at 8:30 this morning.

I went out & sat in the screen room for a while but I don’t sit still for long.   Got up & walked around the yard.  It looks like I lost a few things over the winter; my yellow hibiscus, the Texas Star one, a Russian Sage,  one of the Criniums & I see no sign of my Cherry Smash Lantana yet.   Some Iris have bloomed & others don’t even have buds.  I may move a couple in the Fall.  I need more Foxglove; looks like most of mine have died out.  One basket of Scaveola his recovering, the other one still looks sick.   Might end up buying more for that or replacing with something else.  I wont give up just yet.   Molly, my ginger is not up  but not worried just yet.  It is always slow in sowing p.  I need to see if the ones planted by the culvert at a house on my walk are up yet.  They get huge every year.  Ive been meaning to take a picture when they are in bloom but always forget the camera.

On a brighter note , one of the Peonies I was complaining about not blooming yesterday is in bloom today  I guess it heard my threat to move or toss yesterday.  LOL

I put flea/tick med. on the fur critters last night after taking 1/2 dozen  ticks off the cat.   It’s had to see them in his dark fur & he does not like to be held  still for long, so that was fun.  NOT

No special plans for today.  The weeding, etc; is caught up for the moment  I transplanted a MG seedling this morning & cut off a piece of the Angel Trumpet to see if I could get it to root.  That will probably be my yard work for the day.

I’m ready for the patio also.

DH Used to subscribe to it many yrs. ago.  Good if you want to research a certain product, but now you can do that online.
