My son has a durango too, biggest junker I’ve ever seen. He replaces one part and another one goes. I told him I told him he should just fix the rear in the explorer he has had for about 7 years now and just put that back on the road. That was a great truck and really reliable. The durango has been a huge headache for him.

Your durango sounds like my son’s. He’s put more money into that thing than IDK what .  He could have had a brand new truck for the work he is always doing on that junker. Nice looking truck, but looks don’t get you to point B. LOL

My ancestors came here legally, and were held at Ellis Island until they could pass the health inspections and show their paper work and take their citizenship test. Their names are on the wall at Ellis Island.

I guess it would be better that people get a license and be required to have insurance like the rest of us. How many times I’ve heard in NJ that illegals were in accidents out on the parkway and no proof of insurance. We the insured, pay for people that drive uninsured. Its called the uninsured motorists fund. So when someone gets in an accident and gets sued, that’s our money paying them.

Ugh, where to start on this one. LOL Where I live now, the mountain cards are very abused. People sell them for money, drugs, weapons, you name it. I have clients that have been charged for selling their food stamps for meth, heroin, or pills. Then they complain they have a conviction when they actually get caught and lost their benefits. I’ve stood behind women with kids that were buying beer while their kid was crying for a bottle of water that they were thirsty and were told no, they couldn’t have a drink. Mom had her booze though, paid for on her mountain card. That is what they call them here. I also blame the store near me for allowing it to happen. they don’t care, its money and they are making it. As for the cash part of their card, it seems they can buy whatever they want with it, and its usually rolling papers, cigs and beer at the store near me it seems.

I’m just unsure what happened to welfare reform? I guess that didn’t pan out as well as the feds expected. Yes, poverty is very bad where I live, jobs are very scarce where I live, people are very uneducated, but that has filtered down through the years from generation to generation in families it seems. Alcoholism and drug use are extremely high in this area, but it ticks me off that a mother is buying a case of beer with her mountain card and can’t buy her thirsty kid a drink.

As for immigrants, they won’t be going anywhere.

Nope, don’t agree with what has happened to this country, but there isn’t much we can do about it is there?

The sun was out this morning for a bit then they clouds rolled in. It was a whole lot warmer than it has been though. I think we hit 40. I checked the weather this morning we were under a winter weather advisory for tonight that I suppose has been cancelled since the advisory is no longer there, but the weather changes so fast in the hills you can check it every hour and its always different.

I was eating seefood. See food and eat it. HAHA

Diet shmiet. My boss has been on her hubby’s no carb diet for over a year now, but also works out every day, and she has lost weight but boy if she isn’t miserable. Plus I think she’s eating more now that she isn’t eating all the junk than she did before. After every patient she’s rifling through the fridge in the office for greens and meat and shoveling it in her mouth. LOL what kind of diet is that? A patient of ours brought us in huge *and I mean these were enormous* raspberry red velvet cakes. I gave 3/4 of my cake to my kids it was so big and took a week or more to finish it during christmas. My boss had hers in the office kitchen. I came in the next day we got our cake and half of it was gone. HAHA Talk about an eating disorder. Her and her hubby also ate a few days before that an entire huge bundt cake in a day that the cleaning lady brought in. I think I’d be sick if I ate that much.

Obviously not in WV they don’t. Or just not anywhere near my area and I have a lot of houses around me, you never see anyone. You’ll be lucky to even see anyone come out of their house once the snow starts falling here!  LOL I have patients that don’t come out for days where they live when it snows, mostly because of roads being too dangerous. Winter is bad for business for us, we have a lot of cancellations in winter. Back home in NJ we had sledding hills, two within about 4 miles from where I lived that were always crowded, and we were always there when it snowed.

Bill paying has kind of become a full time job. You have to scrutinize everything. we pay so many various “fees” on our bills through the state its ridiculous also. I hate our one horse town sewer company because they will send you 3 statements a month which is ridiculous, with all different amounts on them. One for it you pay by this date, one if you pay by that date and another if its late. What a primitive way to do business. LOL

I wish our gas was that cheap in WV. Still anywhere from 2.25 to 2.45 here. I use krogers too but only use my points at the end of the month since I don’t do a whole lot of shopping, so I’m stuck paying 2.40 down the street from me. We have a high gas tax here. Son had to text me last week he got gas somewhere in NJ for 1.73. LOL
