I know many people follow other eagle nest cams but I would like to share the one from where I live ( 15 min, away) Its not often that people from Pittsburgh root for the eagles ( bad football joke) but yesterday she laid her third egg!!! I’m looking forward to getting down there and get some pics but as you can see we are getting snow, its cloudy and cold, again!!!  here is the link if interested http://www.pixcontroller.com/eagles/

Hi Brian. I haven’t been on this site for quite awhile, but wanted to say how happy I am about the Eagles. I live about 25 miles south of Pgh. I’m cheering for the “Eagles” too!

Thanks for looking Luvbirds, Welcome back!!! I just found this on the news http://triblive.com/neighborhoods/yourallekiskivalley/yourallekiskivalleymore/5673061-74/raccoon-nest-eagle#axzz2uX1dpn6q  , disturbing but the eagles were successful protecting their eggs from a raccoon (I cant stand the bird food steeling, garbage can dumping, egg robbers) . way to go mamma!!! By the way, my oldest son goes to collage in Waynesburg, im down there frequently, nice down there.

Thanks for the info, Brian. So glad there was a happy ending to this! Hopefully the raccoon was frightened enough to not return. A smaller bird would not have had a chance. Yep, three cheers for Mama! I live in Westmoreland County, Rostraver Twp. Hope to spend more time here.

Thanks for the link Brian.  I had to see the raccoon attack on YouTube. Wow….that was a little fellow compared to the Mama Eagle! Sounds like the nest is next to a railway track.

In is  next to the RR, it runs right along the river and a walking trail, I will be walking it as soon as the weather turns around, getting 6-8 inches of snow today. thanks for looking.
