Ever since you posted this thread Brian, I’ve been going back and forth checking out this site.  You know…..it can become addictive…LOL.  Just now the poor mama is getting rained on.  Poor bird.  Too bad they don’t have a tarpaulin for cover.

This is the first time I saw the female eagle feed the eaglets.  I did not see the third.  I also did not see the third egg.  I must have missed something.  It’s the first time I see the male/father.  This is a beautiful part of nature.

Brian I can’t thank you enough for sharing the eagle site.  I just witnessed something so beautiful today.  The ‘papa’ brought a huge fish to the nest.  The ‘mama’ got up and began to rip it apart.  At first it was that ‘bully’ (first born) that made sure he would eat first.  Then the father decided to feed the second eaglet.  All of a sudden the mama began to take out food from the papa and began feeding the two little ones.  Seems she wanted to make sure all 3 were fed.  So wonderful to watch.

I’m not sure I’m cut out to watch the goings on in this eagle family.  I somehow don’t think that the third eaglet will survive.  The two bullies seem to be monopolizing the mom, and I noticed that she is not all that warm towards her last baby.  I did notice something special, the father pays more attention to the little one.  Hmmmm…..I know I’m supposed to be neutral….after all it’s nature….I always feel bad for the underdog….in this case the third eaglet.
