OK, I know that at least SOME of you must be seeing crocus pushing up through the ground by now, or maybe some some yellow buds on your forsythia bushes? Let’s start recording where and when these hopeful signs are appearing. Post your Spring 2014 pics here and be sure to tell us where you are so we can see where spring has arrived at last!

Maybe I should go out and snap a pic of my car – covered in pollen!

I did notice my first white iris blooming yesterday. Hopefully others won’t be far behind. Since I moved them all last fall (except the few strays that I missed) I wasn’t sure if they would bloom at all this year. The forsythia has been blooming its little heart out so will be done soon.

I’ll see if I can find the time after work to take a photo or two.

Gorgeous crocus shots, everyone (that’s what yours are, Brian)! Anyone growing any hyacinth this year? They’re my absolute favorite spring bulb, but I can’t grow them down here without forcing them, which is always such a pain in this climate that I never bother. I usually just wind up buying a pot at the grocery store around Easter and then taking deep breaths of the sweet fragrance while they last. Do any of you grow hyacinths, and are you starting to see them yet?

Can’t show a photo but five 2 cu. ft. bags of MG potting soil mix stacked at the back hill is a sure sign of spring :-) Our sand pears are about the size of small marbles (pee wees) right now.

I don’t grow crocus but I do have a few hyacinths..I picked one yesterday and put it on my desk so I can smell it…ah the heavenly smell of spring. I have a gazillion daffs blooming now ( can you tell I used to work for a bulb grower?) but haven’t taken any pictures of them yet. Might do that as soon as the sun goes off of them, it is too bright to get a good picture now.

Jill….I have you down for some Soloman’s seal and I just checked – they are not up yet but when they do they grow really fast. I need your mailing address.

Sandra RW your pictures are gorgeous, you must have a much better camera than I do:)
