Last week,I planted (leaf) Lettuce seeds in a pot like I always do & they started coming up Sat.  Now the weather is going to go crazy & tomorrow night is supposed to be cold.  One site says 32º, another says 36º.  Do you think I should toss some kind of cover over the pot?

Not much I can do about what’s coming up in the yard.  That stuff is on its own.

No Gayle your leaf lettuce will be fine. I grow leaf lettuce in my fall garden as well and it will survive well down into the 20s for a couple of nights or more.

TY Steve.  I won’t worry about it so much now.

If you are concerned, can’t you just carry the pot into your GH?  Charlene

Lettuce can stand a little frost as Steve stated but if you are concerned as Charlene said put it in the greenhouse and throw a sheet over it.

We were down to 26° both the last two nights and the onions, cabbage, broccoli and lettuce all look fine. They would look even finer if we could go back to a little warmer weather so I could watch them take off and grow.
