Just happened to look out my front window and he was eating under my finch feeder, that sure brightened up a gloomy day. He didn’t stay long.

I love to hear them sing….and I seem to have two….one adult and one first year (brown head stripes) the adult chases the other off, so I am guessing they are both males. (though not necessarily).

I know they are supposed to sound like they are singing “Sow wheat Peverly, Peverly, Peverly.” or something like that …but I think they say “Sing so sweetily, sweetily, sweetily”….I know that sweetily is not a word, but that’s how it sounds to me. Their song always makes me smile.

Oooops! I just realized this post said white crowned sparrow….I was thinking white-throated. (for some reason I couldn’t edit my post)
