    I have been trying to identify this guy since I saw him last year. I have only seen him once when the sprinkler was on and other birds were playing in it. he was the only one of that kind that I saw and I never saw him in the water though. head, eyes, and beak are all a similar shade of black, white in the chin and a little bit of the cheek, and the rest of its body was grayish brown. his beak was shorter and rounded but I could not see the underbelly.

    Hi there, welcome to the forums…that one is an easy one… it is an Eastern Kingbird.   We have them here on the lake. They love bugs, and will swoop to get one.. Nice photo.
