I just got a beautiful Mandevilla plant with bright red flowers and I placed it by my hummingbird feeder.  The flowers are trumpet-shaped, but I’m wondering if hummingbirds are attracted to Mandevilla flowers.  I know they love trumpet vines and so forth, but this magazine never mentions Mandevilla  flowers.

Hello Lilac & welcome. I’m sorry I cannot help you with this question as I’ve never grown Mandy plants successfully. I believe many of the Garden Forum folks have grown Mandevilla Vine, hopefully one of them will see this & can answer your question.

I will say, throughout the years visiting this Forum that I do not recall anyone mentioning any hummingbirds visiting their Mandies nor do I recall seeing any pictures of this…but I may have missed a posting or two on this subject;-) Good luck!
