    We have a old sandbox for the first grandson. Its about 14 years old now. It was a tugboat sandbox. Well now its out little strawberry box  .

    Always good to re-use what you have for something else.

    Did you put holes in it for drainage?

    A wonderful use for that old sandbox if..you had drain holes in the bottom the plants look very happy there.

    Gary we had a large above ground fish pond for many years and the goldfish  I had put in it originally grew to about 10 inches and were too hard for me to catch to bring in to put in the tanks in the house, so I gave away the fish and tanks to my neighbor and filled in the tank with dirt, and it is now my herb garden. We had the fish for about 10 years.

    There are drain holes already in it. She did put rocks in the bottom of it to.

    Great idea!  I also always try to recycle whatever I can.  I hope you guys get berries from it…..I know it will ill in fast!  Charlene
