    I do have a couple silver mounds nearby. Also Sunflowers but they haven’t bloomed yet. It looks just like this! Thanks!

    Deb –  This is either a Painted Lady or a American Lady… two very similar butterflies that are nearly impossible to tell apart with their wings open (at least for me!). They have different markings on the undersides of their wings with differentiate them.
