Hello everyone!  Another beautiful day here.  The sun was out all day.  It’s a perfect day to work outdoors. Hmmm…..well I haven’t.

Yes, I did go to the doctor for the results of my vascular ultra sound.  It’s good news.  There is no blockage in my jugular vein.  I asked the doctor if now I have to get a more detailed analysis of my heart….He replied no.  Apparently they had similar patients with the same problem, only they had a blockage in the jugular.  He was very serious and extremely firm by saying he will continue to monitor my blood pressure and cholesterol.  You should have seen how he said….” I want it low…and I mean low.”   Wow!  I must say I was very happy.  So I have to continue with the meds and see him in September, but prior to seeing the doctor, I will have to take blood tests again.

To celebrate I went to Costco.  After my shopping, my best friend invited me for coffee.  She also made lunch.   Guess you can say I’m spoiled.  When I got home, my furbabies were waiting for me.

    How was your day?

Hi Stella!  I’m glad you got good news from your test results.  Cholesterol can be a stinker to deal with, but I am sure medication will take care of that for you.  I wouldn’t say you are spoiled.  I think you have a very dear best friend who likes to take care of you.  You are blessed.

We finally got some rain around here tonight.  I really figured it would pass us by like it usually does.  The wind really whipped things around.  My pot with the cherry tomatoes in it blew over.  I’m not sure how that happened because it was situated in between several other pots.  The bird bath also toppled over.  That doesn’t happen very often.  It must have been the direction the wind came in that made the difference.  We are going to get increasingly muggy and hot so DH decided the A/C was coming on tonight.  I was not going to argue with him because I had a hard time getting comfortable all day long.

I hope everyone had a good day today!

Stella that is such good news…taking care of your cholesterol should not be hard for you, just follow the Mediterranian Diet:) I was hoping Charlene would share her results from her doctor’s appointment but she didn’t.
I have had the paint to paint my front door red for a long time, decided today was the day. When I started putting it onto the door it was waaay too red, like pinkish red lipstick. So tomorrow I need to get some different paint to do it again. Had company most of the afternoon so didn’t get too much accomplished but it was a misty rain all day so not much got done outside except to clean the pool. At least I didn’t have to water anything outside but did water what was still in the greenhouse.

Great news, Stella. After work I had to pick up DGS, 20 min away, take him to soccer practice, and then back home. I didn’t get home until almost 8. Tomorrow night is our women’s meeting and Thursday is soccer again. A busy week.

    Have a good night.

Good evening everyone.  We got an unpredicted ½ inch of rain last night, so my watering tonight was less of a chore than usual.

Molly….I sent you an email earlier today about the white flowers on my plant ID thread.

I didn’t get the news I hoped for today at my appointment.  It seems that almost all of my polyps are pre cancerous.  Also…..the surgeon only removed the small ones to open the blockage and there are many (over 100) large ones still in there.  They think I have some kind of FAP mutant gene that keeps on making polyps and will continue to do so.  I have to see another specialist on September 4.  Another waiting game, but I do have to say that I was pleased with all of the Drs and nurses today.

See you all in the morning.  Charlene

Stella, wonderful news, I am sure you are relieved. I’m sure you will be able to keep your blood pressure and cholesterol under control.

Karen, very muggy here as well, had torrential rain with big boomers and lots of lightening tonight. Our AC is set at one temp and when it gets to that temp it clicks on. We both need AC so no debating the matter here.

Molly, don’t you just hate it when you have a plan and it doesn’t materialize? Hope you can get the colour you want for your door.

Leslie, you just never slow down, you are like the energizer bunny lol. Maybe I need new batteries!!!

Charlene, my heart goes out to you. I know we were all hoping for a better report. So sorry that you have to wait until September now. Continued prayers for you.

Nothing exciting my way, Rick is still down and out with his back which is tough on both of us….life goes on though.

I know this is almost 24 hr later but I wasn’t here yesterday at all.

I just wanted to say that I’m disappointed your news wasn’t better than that, Charlene.  But let’s see what the next Dr. has in mind.   Hope it’s a solution.

I missed this yesterday. Charlene, also sorry about the news. You must be so disappointed. Big hugs and prayers. Blessings too, of course.
