Giddey, I just love your greenhouse, would love to have one, I see some house plants in there, do you bring them in for the winter? Do you just take the hose in to water?

We built the greenhouse a while ago and DW hasn’t stopped growing and producing in it  since … she grows a good variety and the tomatoes are sooo tasty … we enjoy them from first ripening right up until late Fall …

Giddey….love your GH!  We built one this past fall from old windows, etc. (10′ by 15′)  We made it a lean-to on the garage.  I am heating it, but with the extreme cold temps and expensive LP gas this year, I may try your trick with the GH inside the GH for keeping several plants.

Giddey love your greenhouse.  Had seen the pictures previously.

Charlene I know how you are enjoying the greenhouse this winter.

I too miss my big greenhouses from when we owned the business.  I have had a couple of hobby pop up greenhouses over the past 8 years but found they didn’t hold up that well.  2 years ago I bought a 6X8′ with a metal frame and I can replace the cover when needed.  Last year I bought a second one and still don’t really have enough room.  I set them both up on my big deck around the 1st of April and use ceramic heaters in them for about a month in a half.  By mid June I move one to an area beside my garage which I am able to use into October with very little heat.  The other one the frame stays year round on the deck.  The company replaced the original cover as the first one had some problems so I cut that one up leaving just the top and one end and use it during the summer as a sheltered spot on the deck with a shade cloth over it to cut down on the sun and heat.

My son builds me birdhouses and outdoor furniture but says he’s not good enough to make me a greenhouse! Right now I’m looking for 4 old doors because I need a place to keep my tools, he WILL build me that or else. LOL

Good idea with the veggies and they are good size, too.  Best to grow and harvest your own, too.  Know what you are getting then…………they aren’t Chinese veggies imported!
