Like Brian….I live close to this Bald Eagle’s nest. There were 2 eggs but only one hatched about one week ago. The eaglet is called B3 and is so cute. The other egg probably wasn’t viable. Watch the action here:

A Great Horned Owl attacked the Mom at night. Before B3 hatched. You can watch that on YouTube.  It was a very quick and brief attack. Mom wasn’t harmed.

Neat! The eagle nest near me (actaully there are sevral) doesn’t have a camera in it. I watch the Decorah cam mostly, and the mom eagle has been attacked by both great-horned and barred owls. A nest cam in Minnesota has the nest filled up with snow, the only bare patch is where the parents sit on the eggs! That’s what I call dedication!

Junior, How cool that you live near several Eagle Nests. The more I watch them the more I respect and admire these regal birds.
