we had torrential rain last night and  with all the snow I now have several inches of water in the basement, Only half power down there and scared to flip the circuit breakers, Bill don’t know where the parts are to his shop vac, he got the bissell carpet cleaner working to suck up some but I get 5 buckets of water to his half, with just a bucket and mop:(  and 5 more before he got it together, I feel like I am trying to hold back the great flood with only a teaspoon,

Waiting till Our insurance office opens to see what we are to do,

I am holding back tears as much as I can, Not for the flood but because of his helplessness,  it is so hard, :(

Glad your insurance will cover the damage and work, etc.  Been through the water bit some years ago.

I can see how you can feel overwhelmed with the water situation and dealing with the rest of the trouble, too.  Hoping things get better soon and the inspector comes soon, too.

    Resa,

Sorry to hear that your basement got flooded. Hope there isn’t too much damage.

Resa,  I know how you feel about Bill’s helplessness. Richard is always apologizing to  me for not being able to do things around the house and yard like he used to and it’s now all up to me. His issue is physical where Bill has dementia…but both are just not there like they used to be.

Sending you huge hugs and positive thoughts….wish we lived closer so I could be there for you !

    LOVE YOU !
