    It’s not a barn swallow or a robin.  Nest is bigger than that.  Contains twine and dried grasses, along with other unidentifiable stuff.  Looks like it is being reused from last year as we first noticed it late last fall but there seems to be more added to it this year.  I can’t see into the nest to see if there are eggs or not.  Anyone have a clue?

    Did you have a picture?  If you move the picture to a different spot in PB after posting here it will disappear.

    Could it be house sparrows? They make big messy nests.

    I tried to post a picture but it didn’t work.  I’ll try again.  Definitely not a house sparrow nest.  No sparrow would be able to carry the length of twine that is in the nest.

    Here’s a photo of the nest.  As you can see, it’s quite large.

    If the nest has been added to year after year….it might be a phoebe…and the twine might be smaller strands, not just one long one.
