Think it’s rained just about every day this month, enough is enough. The weeds are growing faster then I can pull them.

Hi everyone!Started in the 60s and got up to 79º. Was cloudy this morning and really looked like rain. Al lot of rain around in spots but nothing here. Heard thunder a while ago but that went away.

Terry, That was nice of Joyce’s co-worker to give everyone a rose.Hope yours kids have decent weather for the trip down to Disney.I would be afraid to go kayaking down there with the gators.tiny-smileys-yesemoticons-070

Pat, That is a beautiful picture. They had a story on our local tv news about a nest that was too close to this house and every time some one came out of the house the Eagle would dive-bomb the person. The city had to move the nest.

Hi Marg! how are you coming with the apt. hunting?

Hiker, You could send use some rain. There is rain all around but we don’t seem to be getting it unless it is a quick shower.

Pittsburgh has an artsfest every year.I got this from the local tv.site.

    Hi All,

We started at 69 degrees, it’s 71 degrees with light rain now.  We had some thunder and lightning earlier with 5/8″ of rain so far. I went and bought snacks before the rain got here, I noticed that regular went up from $3.45 Saturday, it’s $3.54 this morning. They’re blaming it on the problems in Iraq, Obama is speaking on TV right now.

Pat…..I have some trouble getting out of our 12′ boat at times, we haven’t launched our 14′ since I had the deck and transom replaced last July LOL

Marg…..I don’t pay attention to what the experts predict, they don’t know. I do watch the storms movements on radar, I can tell where one’s going at that time.

Marilyn….There’s a great work atmosphere where my wife works, the people seem to get along most of the time. When there is  a problem she goes into her office and shuts the door, the others know that means to not bother her  I think this is the kids tenth trip to Disney, they have ponchos for bad weather.

Good afternoon everyone, we started at 59° and cloudy with scattered showers. The showers are expected to end by late afternoon. Today’s high is expected to be in the mid 60s. We have had much needed showers off and on the last two days; my lawn really needs some rain as its turning brown.

I have been a little under the weather and late posting today and didn’t get a chance to post yesterday.

I also had to take Lollie for a couple appointments. She was scheduled to see her eye specialist in the morning and her Vet in the afternoon. As she has dry eye they did a test to measure her tear production and it was really good above normal, they also tested for glaucoma and thankfully she doesn’t have that. She does have cataracts on both eyes and has lost most of her vision. However, she is not a candidate for surgery with her medical conditions. Her blood sugar was still really high and we are still working on trying to stabilize it. She did gain back another 5 ounces so is getting back to her normal weight.

Terry, we don’t have cable TV so still need the antenna. I had cable years ago and the picture on the TV was always terrible; Cable Company said it was my TV so I bought a new TV and the picture was still fuzzy. We only seemed to be watching local TV stations so I cancelled the Cable and had started using the antenna again and once again had a beautiful clear picture.

Marilyn, I enjoyed the cute pictures of the mules and the art fest. Did you get any rain? I could sure tell the change in the weather here; we didn’t get as much rain as other areas but I could tell the change in the Barometric Pressure.

Pat, that’s a great shot of the eagle. Your kayaking trip sounds like lots of fun. The Great Blue Heron are amazing birds to see; so far I have only seen them on the neighbor’s roof. I ask the neighbor about any fish ponds in the neighborhood and there is one on the other side of their fence and that is what I thought was the attraction for the Great Blue Heron.

Hiker, we went for several weeks without a lot of rain and yet the weeds are still growing here. I did pull a few of them the other day but still have more out there.

Marg, the colors on the house are almost the same, except the darker brown trim and the light brown shingles. The most change is the lawn shed as it’s now painted to match the house. I’ll have to look for some pictures for you.

Hi to all yet to post!

    Have a good day everyone.

Hi ALL WBs!  It was 50 degrees here this morning and got to a mostly sunny 71.  They are predicting rain for tomorrow afternoon and several days this next week.  We could use some now.

Marilyn,  neat pics from the artsfest!  I would enjoy going to that.

Marnee,  I sure hope the vets can get Lollie’s blood sugar under control.  Poor little girl.

Our gas has been at $3.69 for quite awhile now, but with the mess in Iraq it will most likely be going up.

We went to eastern Shawano County today to look at barn quilts.  The county is almost like two counties with the city of Shawano in the middle and always is referred to as western or eastern.  I got some pics, but need to edit most of them.

Hi Everyone! Looked really gloomy here this morning but actually turned out to be a nice day.Thought for sure it would rain but according to the tv, it all went over and we did not get a drop. Tonight it’s going down to 45º & into the 70s for tomorrow.Devil smileys

Terry, Gas here in Youngstown [near here]has reached$3.94 for regular. We got it yesterday in Salem, Ohio for $3.74…..That’s nice that Joyce has a good working atmosphere.Dancing and singing mini graphics

Marnee,Don’t know what to say about Lollie. It’s so sad when an animal is not feeling well, when they can’t say where it hurts. I know just how you are feeling. We always had little house dogs while the kids were growing up.Sure hope she gets to feeling better!…In answer to our question, No we are NOT getting any of the rain that they are calling for. It goes right over the top of us and nary a drop.Things are getting dry.

This is some more from the art fest.

Good afternoon everyone, its cool and cloudy today with temperatures only in the mid 60s and our forecast indicates we may stay that way for much of the day.

Pat, that’s a pretty quilt on a really nice looking barn. We don’t see many barn quilts around here; I believe they are more around Tillamook at the Oregon Coast. Someday I may have to check them out.

Marilyn, Looks like many are enjoying the art festival.  Our gas  here is from $3.83 to $3.89 at nearby stations.

Marg, I did some before and after painting pictures of my home and lawn shed. The top pictures are before and the bottom pictures are after painting.

The major change in color was on the lawn shed.

Hi to all yet to post.

    Have a great day everyone.

Hi WWBs!  Boy did we get a big rain storm last evening, after we already had rain in the morn yesterday!  Today it’s on the coolish side for a summer day here!  Tomorrow it is supposed to start out in the 50s, only go to the 70s!  Then it will heat up later in the week to the mid to upper 80s, now a but warm for my likings, and also more rains to come!

Marilyn, love the collage!  No luck house hunting yet!

Mm, I like the looks of your house now w/ the new paint job!  Thanjs for posting those pics!

Pat, nice pic! Looks lkke that was a fun trip there!  Lancaster is a lot like 2 or 3 diff areas, too!  There’s a lot of shopping  city like areas, then there is Amish country where I live & like the most! Then there is northern & southern sections, very diff from Amish section & the city like aeeas!

Hi Terry!  Hi Hiker! I agree about enough w/ all the rain already!

Hi to Janis, Posy, Tina Sharon, MaryAnn, & all who have not posted here lately!  LATER, GATORS!

    Hi All,

We started at 76 degrees, it’s 84 sunny degrees now. We didn’t have any rain on Saturday and it should be the same for today, I’ll grill a slab of pork ribs later today. We watched TV all day  Saturday but did drive down to the kids to check their mail at 4:00PM. They’re having a great time at Disney, that’s the big event in their lives each year :-)

Marnee…..We stopped cable at our old home before ’97, our antenna here gets 27 channels since they started digital, they’re crystal clear unless the weather gets really bad. We can always watch the Analog TV that has a digital converter, for some reason that signal comes in stronger?

Our barn is shaped like your shed. It’s 16′ x 24′, the bottom floor has a 8′ ceiling while the peaked hay loft has a 8′-11′ ceiling due to the peak.

Pat…..Yesterday  we saw that regular was $3.63 at the Tom Thumb stores and $3.53 at the Raceway and a independent store/station.

Marilyn…..A good work atmosphere is good for success, productivity and employee happiness  :-)

Hi ALL WBs!  Last night we had thunder storms pass through giving us 2 inches of rain!   We have now a very rare total of 5 inches for June.  There must have been some wind too as there are bunches of leaves all over the yard.  My Iris’s were flattened…..just when the group was getting pretty enough to take a pic.
All I heard was thunder that seemed to go on for hours.

There were on and off showers this morning, but it turned out sunny reaching 75 and windy.

Marilyn,  pretty Clematis from Janis!  At first I thought I had lost mine over last winter, but it is growing now, but a long way from blooming.

    Have a great day everyone!
