Easy Halloween Garden Lights

Jill Staake

Another trip to the dollar bins, another easy DIY garden craft for fall! I picked up these little tealight holders in the bargain bins at my local Target recently, and used a little glue and some garden stakes to turn them into lights to line my front walk and welcome trick-or-treaters on Halloween night!

Halloween Garden Tealights

These metal tealight holders were at Target, but you can find similar versions elsewhere. Look for some with bottoms you can glue the plant stakes to, then gather up plant stakes as shown, outdoor epoxy or hot glue, and some battery-operated tealights (also usually available at dollar stores).

Remove any paper backing from the tealight holders, and glue the plant stakes to the bottom. Add a battery-operated tealight to each (or a real candle if the situation is safe enough), and you’re good to go!

Halloween Garden Tealights

These metal tealight holders are sturdy enough to leave outside as decorations throughout the season, and you can add the actual tealights whenever you want to light up your garden path. Quick, easy, and inexpensive – what more can you ask for?

I love this idea! Probably a little late for me to do it this year, but I’m keeping it in mind for next year!
