A New Garden Bouquet…

It is that time again….

Time for what you may ask?  Well, it is time to get out in your garden and create a bouquet from your garden.  April’s garden bouquet consisted of pinks, purples and whites and this month’s bouquet uses the same cool color palette.

I created this one using flowers from my Pink Bower Vine and then adding some annual Violas and Alyssum.

Monthly Garden Bouquet

I love how the cool colors of pink and purple look in my blue vase, which is actually an old ‘Milk of Magnesia’ bottle.

Creating your own bouquet can be very fun and you are only as limited as your imagination.  Instead of looking for traditional ‘cut’ flowers such as roses and such, look at your flowering trees, shrub or even vines.  You can create countless beautiful floral combinations.

Unique ‘vases’ are also fun to use as well.  An old mason jar, a pitcher or even a glass soda bottle can work just as well as a more traditional vase.

So, next time you are tempted to go to the store to pick up a bouquet for your table or to give a friend, create your own instead :-)
