Sawdust fill for some of these boxes may get wet and mushy… wood shavings of small animal bedding is preferred.

Your missing some birds. What about cardinals, blue jays, robins and a few others should be listed.

these are not cavity dwelling species and so are not attracted to birdhouses…

I’ve got bird houses that are painted bright colors, are twisted and curved, and have Eastern bluebirds, Carolina Wrens, and Sparrows that live in them each year. Have so for many years. Have friends with the same bird houses and they all have birds living in them.

I found it easiest to clean out bird houses that swing open in front or side, instead of roof. Also, a couple of “finish nails” are used instead of expensive hinges, saving $$!

Nice categorised birds , many birds are really pretty well. All birds are unique and sea coastal birds.

My husband just cleaned out the bluebird house, and found a fully feathered baby bird dead in it. Why would the parents have left it last year?
