On Level with the Birds

"I'm fortunate to have black-capped chickadees nest in my yard every year," writes Rod Dorich of Noblesville, Indiana. "To take pictures, I position a ladder on the opposite side of the tree where they nest, and I stay as motionless as possible. They seem to tolerate my presence, and I get some great photos."
