Icy Perch

"A pair of eastern bluebirds chose to stick it out in southern Missouri for the duration of the winter," writes Carol Kabel of Crocker, Missouri. "We had a terrible ice storm in January, but my tough bluebirds didn't seem to mind as long as they got their mealworm dinners each day."
