Keeping Ladybugs Outside

Ladybugs have infested my cabin. Is there a way to keep them out without harming them?

Melinda: Hard work and persistence are needed to keep these beneficial insects out of the house. First, caulk cracks, crevices or other openings that could be serving as entryways. Then vacuum any intruders that do make it inside, and empty the sweeper bag outdoors to prevent them from escaping back into the house. Some gardeners have reported success by placing bay leaves, dried tansy and slices of osage orange fruit (also called hedge apples) around doorways and on windowsills. I haven't seen any research that backs up their claims, but it can't hurt to try.
