Fallen Chrysalis
I just found a queen chrysalis on the floor of my patio. I think it fell off a flowerpot. What should I do with it?

Tom: Look at the tail end of the chrysalis. You should see a tiny black hook called a cremaster. Caterpillars use this to attach themselves to stems. Take a piece of thread and tie it around this tiny hook. Then tie it to a twig to help give the chrysalis support.
This will help the butterfly emerge in spring, but even if you don't do this, there's still a good chance it will pull itself out of the chrysalis.
