"I spent 3 months crafting this wooden replica of a Norwegian church in South Dakota," says Lawrence Kleppe of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "In addition to creating the overall structure from scratch, I also turned the wooden columns that line the exterior, attached each shingle individually and made the intricate ornamentation around the windows and on the roof, including hand-carved animals."
