Hats Off!

"I was searching for unique gifts for the college friends I see only once a year, when I came up with the idea of red hat birdhouses," says Pam Fraser of Tallahassee, Florida. "We were all planning to wear red hats for our upcoming get-together, so I thought matching birdhouses would be fun. "My dad, Ken Bope, who lives in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, loves to work with wood and happily agreed to design and make the houses. He crafted them so they'd open underneath for cleaning. The birdhouses were challenging, but he did a fantastic job!"
