Backyard View Photo Contest Official Rules

Eligibility:

No purchase necessary. Contest is open to legal residents of the U.S., its territories and possessions, who are 18 years of age or older, except employees and the immediate families of The Reiman Media Group, Inc., the sponsor, and/or its affiliates and subsidiaries. Contest is governed by the laws of the USA. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.

To Enter:

The Contest begins accepting entries at 12 a.m. ET Nov. 4, 2008 and stops accepting entries 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 2, 2009. To enter, visit us online and follow the instructions listed under the Contests section of our Web site or mail your entry to: Favorite Backyard View, Birds & Blooms, 5400 S. 60th Street, Greendale, WI 53129. Entrants will be required to read the full rules and provide an entry, which will include: entrant's name, email address and a submission that includes a photo and a written description of 250 words or less. The Submission must be original and not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

Not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, lost connections, miscommunications, failed computer or telephone transmissions, other technical difficulties or failures. Not responsible for any damage to user's system or from downloading any information necessary to participate in the Contest. Any dispute regarding submission of online entry will be deemed submitted by the e-mail account holder. Reiman Media Group (RMG) reserves the right to terminate or modify the online portion of this Contest at any time if the RMG online service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs or other intervention beyond RMG's control. In either of these events, prizes will be awarded based on entries received to date of termination.

All entries become the property of Reiman Media Group and will not be returned. We reserve the right to use your entry in all print and electronic media, and to edit it for brevity and clarity. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules as described herein.

Judging:

Winners will be selected by Birds & Blooms staff on or about Feb. 6, 2009 based on the submission's originality, photo quality and the written materials. All entries will be judged using the criteria stated above and weighted as follows: originality of submission 50%, quality of photo 30%, written materials 20% and Judges' decisions are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest. Winners selected by Birds & Blooms will be posted on its Web site no later than March 10, 2009.

Prizes:

First-place Winner will receive $750 cash, Second-place Winner will receive $400 cash, Third-place Winner will receive $200 cash, and three Honorable Mention Winners will receive $50 cash. All taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winners. All prizes are guaranteed to be awarded.

Winners:

All Winners will be required to agree to the use of their name and likeness and entry for promotional purposes (except where prohibited by law). Winners will be notified by email and/or regular mail within 4 weeks of selection and may be required to execute a Statement of Eligibility and Release and Payment Authorization within 30 days of prize notification attempt. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Entry and/or acceptance of prize(s) constitutes permission for the Sponsors and their agencies (if any) to use the winner's name, submission, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, unless prohibited by law.
